Leopoldo Gutierrez

Leopoldo Gutierrez joined Digicel Group as Group Chief Financial Officer in May 2024, bringing with him 20+ years of experience in global operations. Since joining the company, Digicel has seen EBITDA grow by approximately 6% and cash balances growing by nearly 50%.

Prior to joining Digicel, Leopoldo spent 15 years with Latin America operator Tigo in a variety of senior finance roles, most recently in the capacity of VP Finance Operations for Tigo, based in Miami, Florida from 2019. He is particularly skilled in managing complexity, driving change, seizing growth opportunities and optimising costs. Prior to that, he was CFO for Tigo in Colombia for seven years.

An El Salvador national, he has also held financial management roles for commercial airline TACA in El Salvador and for Unilever in El Salvador and the UK. Leopoldo holds a Bachelor of Business and Economics from the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios in San Salvador and an MBA from McGill University in Montreal. He is based in Kingston, Jamaica.
