Rachel Samren

A corporate diplomacy and responsible business expert, Rachel has held executive leadership positions in external affairs, governance and risk management across the telecommunications, strategic intelligence and financial services sectors in publicly traded, private, NGO and government JV entities.

Rachel currently serves as a Director of the International Board of Plan International Inc, where she the Chairs the People & Culture Committee of the Board, and as a Board Director of Lawyers Without Borders. Concurrently she works as an advisor on geopolitical, governance, risk and compliance, and responsible business matters.

 Until 2023 she served as SVP, Chief External Affairs, Governance and Trust Officer for Telia Company AB, and prior to that spent six years as Executive Vice President, Chief External Affairs Officer for Millicom (Tigo). She has also held senior roles with The Risk Advisory Group and SecureValue and worked in corporate banking at Citigroup with a focus in the TMT and Shipping and Logistics sectors.

Rachel holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MLitt in International Security Studies from the University of St Andrews.
