Salvador Hierrezuelo

Salvador “Salva” Hierrezuelo is Group Chief Business Officer for Digicel Group, bringing more than 20 years of international experience across telecommunications, technology, B2B growth and business transformation.

With a career spanning major enterprise and technology businesses across Latin America, Salva has led large-scale commercial operations, digital transformation programmes and complex technology portfolios. Most recently, he led Movistar Empresas at Telefónica Chile, with responsibility for the B2B business across large enterprises, SMEs and the public sector.

Known for combining commercial leadership with deep technology expertise, Salva has built a track record of accelerating growth, improving operational performance and leading transformation in complex markets. His experience spans cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, customer engineering, strategy and M&A.

Salva has served as Chief Operating Officer of Telefónica Tech in Brazil, where he led the company’s cloud and technology business, delivering strong growth, improving profitability and supporting expansion through acquisition. Earlier roles at Telefónica included Director of Customer Engineering as well as Director of Strategic Projects at Telefónica S.A.

Earlier in his career, Salva worked in strategy consulting with Monitor Group/Monitor Deloitte and in telecommunications engineering with Optimi Corporation, later part of Ericsson, delivering projects across Europe, the United States, Latin America and the Middle East.

He holds an International MBA from IE Business School and an MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Málaga. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
